sabrinaj78 Even though I have now listened to all of the songs on the full album, "St. Christopher" is my top favorite. The melody, the flow of the music of the guitar and piano, his soft, gentle voice talking to someone he's trying to get back together with, is so lovely. Songs get stuck in my head for long periods of time. This song has since day one, and I'm totally fine with it. In short, it's a wonderful song written by a wonderful person.

about

“St. Christopher” is a single written and performed by the actor Peter Capaldi, produced by Dr.Robert of The Blow Monkeys and released on the Monks Road Records label.

Peter is probably best known as the acid tongued Malcolm Tucker on television’s The Thick Of It. But in a long screen career he has also played the twelfth incarnation of Dr Who, while recent film roles include “The Thinker” in James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” and Siegfried Sassoon in Terrence Davies soon to be released “Benediction.”

This single is the result of an unexpected falling into the orbit of Dr Robert and the musicians recording on the Monks Road Records label who encouraged Peter to reconnect with the influences that inspired him to perform in the first place with his art school band. He says, “It has been an unexpected joy to find myself working with Robert and the musicians he has gathered around him. I’m lucky and grateful they were able to help me out.”
